> Wesley Gene Young, the son of Jimmy Gene and Denise Ann (Andersen) Young, was born March 18, 1998, at Myrtue Medical Center in Harlan, IA. Wesley passed away June 9, 2021, at Bergan Mercy Hospital in Omaha, NE. Wesley was 23 years, 2 months, and 22 days old.

> Wesley was baptized, confirmed and attended youth group at Trinity Lutheran Church in Avoca, IA. He graduated from Riverside High School in 2016. In high school, Wesley was active in 4-H and FEA. After graduating, he worked for OSI and LYCOS, before taking a job with Circle A Manufacturing based out of Oakland, IA.

> While at Circle A Manufacturing, Wesley found his niche in welding. In December 2020, Wesley assisted in starting Circle A Logging, a subset company under Circle A Manufacturing. During his time here, he was a foreman and managed a small team.

> Outside of work, Wesley enjoyed horseback riding, boating, and hunting.  He was an adventurer at heart.  He cherished his time with his nieces and nephews. More then anything, Wesley loved being a father to his daughter, Veda.

> Wesley was preceded in death by his grandparents, Bob and Lois Jean Young and Darlene Andersen.

> Wesley will be lovingly remembered by his daughter Veda Eloise Young of Oakland, IA; his parents of Oakland, IA; his siblings: Cody Boysen of Park Rapids, MN, Tyler Boysen (Jacqueline) of Council Bluffs, IA, Mikayla Emmanuel (Angelo) of Oakland, IA and Jordan Young of Oakland, IA; his grandfather, Marlin Andersen of Avoca, IA; his nieces and nephews: Autumn, Andrea, Andersen, Santino, Thorin, and Lillian; and extended family and friends.

Funeral services for Wesley will be Thursday, June 17, 2021, at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Avoca, IA at 10:30 AM. Interment will be in the Graceland Cemetery at Avoca.  Visitation will be on Wednesday, June 16, 2021, at the Oakland Community Building in Oakland from 5:00 to 7:30 PM.  Rieken Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
