Travis Peterson


Travis Duane Peterson, age 44, of Griswold, Iowa died Friday November 20, 2015, at his home in Griswold.


Travis was born to Geri and Marvin Peterson on September 21, 1971 at Fremont, NE. He graduated from West Point High School with the class of 1991. After graduating, he served in the US Army. After being discharged, he moved to Atlantic, IA where he became a licensed plumber and heating/air conditioning. Most recently, he worked for the Griswold School District.


Survivors include his parents Geri Peterson of Kansas City, KS and Marvin (Mick) Peterson of Fremont, NE; his twin daughters, Serena and Siera Peterson; and his stepson Randy Hoover Jr. all of Iowa; his sister Karrie (Brian) Martin of Kansas City, MO; his brother Michael of Denver, CO; and his cousin Tricia (Ron) Hineman of Fremont, NE. He is also survived by his fiancée Susan Barnett and her family, including a new born grandson, which was the apple of his eye.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents and a niece.


A memorial service for his Griswold Community School District Coworkers and friends, and his other friends and relatives, will be held on Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at 4:00 PM at the Central Church of Christ, 51 Harrison St., Griswold, Iowa 51535.
