Thelma Arlene (Hebing) Falk the daughter of Clinton and Elizabeth (Meyer) Hebing, was born December 21, 1923, at Cumberland, IA.  Thelma died September 3, 2024, at the Griswold Care Center in Griswold, IA, at the age of 100 years, 8 months, and 13 days.

Thelma attended country school in Cass County and moved to the Oakland area in 1937.  She graduated in 1941, after taking the Normal Training Course.  Thelma then taught country school for eight years.

On June 21, 1947, she was united in marriage to Leonard Falk.  They first lived in Carson and moved to their Donia farm in 1951.  She lived on the family farm.

Thelma loved reading.

Thelma is preceded in death by her husband Leonard; parents; sister Dorothy Mae, who died in infancy; great granddaughter Hunter Lynn Goss; brother Leo and wife Verda; brother Wilburn Hebing; nephew Marvin Hebing; and niece Sandra Wardyn.

She is survived by her sons, Myron Falk of Macedonia, IA, and Kevin Falk and wife Alice of Treynor, IA; grandson Eric Falk and Dana Dawson of Chicago, IL; granddaughter Lori Falk-Goss of Treynor, IA; great granddaughters:  Brooke Flathers and husband Jacob, Summer Herwig and husband Michael, Dawson Goss, and Hudson Arrowsmith; great great-grandchildren: Lane, Cody,  Logyn, and Wyatt; and many other relatives, and friends.

A private family interment for Thelma Arlene Falk will be held at Oaklawn Cemetery, at a later date.   Rieken Vieth Funeral Home in Oakland is assisting the family with arrangements.
