Terrance Howard Allen
Terrance Howard Allen, the son of Gerald William and Frances Louise (Robinson) Allen, was born May 2, 1937 at Lancaster, Ohio and died April 18, 2012 at Avoca Nursing and Rehab in Avoca, Iowa at the age of 74 years, 11 months, and 16 day.
Terry served his country in the Navy and Marines. He Married Dorothy Mae Williams on February 23, 1950. Terry sold Medical supplies in California. He lived in California for almost forty-five years before relocating to Iowa to be closer to his daughter and her family. Terry moved to Oakland Manor Nursing Home in 2009 and then to Avoca Nursing and Rehab in 2011.
Terry enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, boating, and NASCAR. He especially loved to spend time with his family.
Terry is preceded in death by his parents, and his granddaughter Amanda.
He is survived by his children Carla Smith and husband Albert of Oakland, IA and Terry Allen and wife Michelle of Willows, CA; and eight grandchildren.
A memorial visitation will be held on Friday, April 20, 2012, at the Rieken Vieth Funeral Home in Oakland, from 5-7 PM. A prayer service will be held at 6:45 PM. A memorial fund has been established. Rieken Vieth Funeral Home in Oakland is in charge of arrangements.
