Stanley Fender, the son of Forest and Alice (Ford) Fender, was born May 2, 1926 at Macedonia, Iowa and died on June 11, 2018 at the Oakland Manor Care Center in Oakland, Iowa at the age of 92 years, 1 month and 9 days.

Stanley graduated in 1944 from Macedonia High School. He entered the Army on July 17, 1943 and was Honorably Discharged on June 27, 1946. Stanley was united in marriage to Mabyn Core at Carson in 1948. From this union, two daughters were born, Mary Jo and Marta. Stanley worked at Northern Natural Gas until his retirement. Stanley and Mabyn lived in Carson until 1956, when they moved to rural Oakland. Mabyn died on July 20, 2009. Stanley moved to Oakland Manor in 2015. He made Oakland Manor his home until the time of his death.

Stanley was a member of the Coral Lodge #335 A.F. & A.M. He enjoyed listening to music.

Stanley is preceded in death by his wife Mabyn; his two daughters, Mary Jo Hooker and Marta Key; and his parents.
