Rose Marie Boseck, the daughter of Ora Estes and Ione Rose (Palmer) Perdue, was born April 2, 1933 in Griswold, IA and died January 23, 2015 in Sioux City, IA, at the age of 81 years, 9 months, and 21 days.
Rose attended school through the eighth grade and then helped on the family farm. She lived in Carson until September 13, 1966, when she married Russell Boseck at the Central Church of Christ in Griswold. Rose helped on the farm and also worked as a cook at several different places. After Rusty died in 2008, Rose moved into Griswold. She lived in Griswold until a year ago, when she moved to Sioux City.
Rose was a member of the Central Church of Christ, the Rebekah Lodge, where she had served as Grand Noble, the American Legion Auxiliary, and had sang in a band in her earlier years. Rose loved farming and spending time with her family and friends.
Rose is preceded in death by her husband Russell; her grandsons, Ryan James Perdue and Corey James Perdue; her parents; and her brothers Ora Lee, Willard, and Orlen Perdue
Rose is survived by her daughters, Candy Erichsen and husband Sam, and Deb Perdue and special friend Tracy Johnson; her step-son, Russell Wayne; her grandchildren: Niki (Bryan), Tori (Kelli), and Amy (Lori); her great grandchildren: Jake, Corey, Kynlee Rose, Jase, and James; her sisters, Donna and Toni; and her brothers, Kim and Platt. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at 12:00 PM (Noon) at the Central Church of Christ in Griswold. Visitation with the family will be held one hour prior to the funeral. Interment will be at a later date. Duhn Funeral Home in Griswold is in charge of arrangements.
