Rosalee Nilan, the daughter of Henry and Jennie (Cooper) Lang, was born August 30, 1937, in Onawa, IA.  She died July 17, 2023, in Carroll, IA, at the age of 85 years, 10 months, and 18 days.

Rosalee attended school at Onawa until her family moved to Oakland when she was a junior in high school.  She then graduated from Oakland High School.  On April 5, 1960, she was united in marriage to Gordon Nilan in Lincoln, NE.  They lived in Colorado for a short time, before returning to Oakland to farm.  Rosalee lived in Oakland until 2019, when she moved to Coon Rapids.  She then moved to Carroll in January of 2022.

Rosalee was a member of the Oakland United Methodist Church where she had taught Sunday School.  She enjoyed knitting, reading, and playing cards.

Rosalee is preceded in death by her husband Gordon; her parents; and her brother Robert McJunkin and his wife Carolyn.

She is survived by her children, Jeff Nilan and wife RoxAnn of Oakland, IA, and Jill Musfeldt and husband Kent of Coon Rapids, IA; her grandchildren:  Sara, Kyle (Jessica), Frankie (Michael), and Ryan (Paige);  her great grandchildren: Tenley, Kennedi, Colby, Hadley, Klein, Mazie, Amelia, Connor, Emmie, Eleanor, Boyd, and Melody; and many other relatives and friends.
