Robin James Mohr's Obituary
Robin J. Mohr, the son of Robert and Myra (Schroeder) Mohr, was born August 28, 1968 at Atlantic, IA, and died January 10, 2015, at his home in Council Bluffs, IA at the age of 46 years, 4 months, and 13 days.
Robin was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Oakland. He attended school at Oakland, graduating from Oakland High School with the class of 1987. He then attended Iowa Lakes Community College in Estherville, IA and graduated with an associate degree in Environmental Science. After graduating, he started working for Sutherland's on Madison Avenue in Council Bluffs. He worked there until 1997, when he began working for Menards. On May 23, 1998 he was united in marriage to April Van Voorst at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Oakland. Robin continued to work at Menard's in Council Bluffs until 2008, when he switched to their distribution center in Shelby.
Robin was a member of the United States Bowling Congress, the NRA, and Pheasants Forever. He enjoyed bowling, hunting, golfing, and bike riding.
He is preceded in death by his daughter Kali on July 21, 1999; his parents; and his maternal and paternal grandparents.
He is survived by his wife April of Council Bluffs, IA; his children: Logan, Landon, and Braden; his grandson Mason; his brothers: Randy, Rick and Mark Mohr; and his sisters, Monica Rankin and Marcy Lewis. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at 11:00 AM at the Faith Lutheran Church in Council Bluffs, IA. Visitation with the family will be on Tuesday from 4:00 PM until 7:30 PM at the Faith Lutheran Church in Council Bluffs. Interment will be at the Oaklawn Cemetery in Oakland at 3:00 PM on Wednesday. Rieken Vieth Funeral Home in Oakland in charge of arrangements.
