Roberta "Bertie" Marie Reiff

Roberta "Bertie" Marie Reiff, the daughter of Arthur and Phyllis (Osler) Pendgraft, was born March 5, 1950 at Council Bluffs, IA and died August 27, 2012 at her home in Griswold, IA at the age of 62 years, 5 months, and 22 days.

Bertie attended school at Oakland and then married Eddie Beason in 1970. She met Ervin Reiff in 1974, and they were later united in marriage. Bertie worked at several different places before moving to Arizona in 1986 and then Kansas in 1994. After Ervin's death in 2004, she moved to Griswold. She lived in Griswold until the time of her death.

She enjoyed collecting Eagles and antiques. She was very knowledgeable about cars and enjoyed watching NASCAR. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband Ervin; her step son Dennis; and her brother Richard.
Bertie is survived by her children: Rodney Pendgraft and his wife Angie, Tracy Beason, and Stephanie Reiff; her step children: Joyce Leslie and Anita Carr; her grandchildren: Kara, Lucas, Aeric, Andrew, Jill, Kaylee, Tony, Kyle, Dalton, Shyennah, Ruthie, and Jailyn; her great grandchildren; her nephew Chris; her nieces Susie and Bobbie; and her brother Robert.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 30, 2012 at 11:00 AM at the Oakland Christian Church. There will be an open visitation at the Rieken Vieth Funeral Home in Oakland on Wednesday. The family will be present from 5:30-7:30 PM. Interment will be at the Oaklawn Cemetery. Rieken Vieth Funeral Home in Oakland is in charge of arrangements.
