Robert Eugene Black, was born in Red Oak, Iowa, on April 3, 1959. He died on October 13, 2018, at the Maple Crest Health Center in Omaha, Nebraska, at the age of 59 years.

Robert graduated from Treynor High School. Upon graduation he worked at CB Nissan for four years. He then began working as an over the road truck driver. After 27 years driving, failing health caused him to retire.

Robert enjoyed trap and skeet shooting, taking drives, and sight-seeing.

Robert is preceded in death by his mother Coral Lee (Morgan) Black.

Robert is survived by his children: Kelly Burgess, Kerry Hazel and husband Frank, and Jenny Schroeder and fiancé Matt Cox; eight grandchildren; three great grandchildren; his father Paul Black; and four brothers: Paul, Alan, Anthony and David.

A memorial service will be on Friday, October 19, 2018 at the Faith Lutheran Church in Griswold, at 11:00 AM.  Interment will be at a later date. Rieken Duhn Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
