Ricky Wayne Jackson was born on April 25, 1958 in Wichita, KS to William and Francis (Quinn) Jackson. His early life was spent in Missouri and Kansas before the family moved to Southwest Iowa. He attended school in Pleasant Hill, Missouri and Red Oak High School.

In 1978 Ricky was united in marriage to Theresa Steffen. The couple made their home and raised their family in Southwest iowa. During his working years he was a mechanic and builder for Cessna Corporation in Topeka, KS and worked for various businesses as a mechanic. For the past 30 years he has been employed by Kevin and Tina Sindt as a farm hand. Some of his hobbies included fishing, hunting and riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister Tamara Jackson, his brother Gary Jackson, his beloved wife Theresa Jackson and a granddaughter Gracie Jackson. Those left to honor his memory include his children Titus (Jessica) Jackson, Travis (Krista) Jackson and Tyler (Vanessa) Jackson; 15 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and uncle Jim Quinn; sister Tonya Ruah; brother Billy Jackson; other relatives and friends.
