Peggy Jo Creveling
Peggy Jo Creveling, the daughter of Curtis and Ila Mae (Riedemann) Ruppert, was born June 5, 1955 in Creston, IA and died November 24, 2013 at the Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, NE, at the age of 58 years, 5 months, and 19 days.
Peggy attended school in Griswold, graduating from Griswold High School with the class of 1973. After graduating, she worked at the Griswold bowling alley. On December 17, 1975 she was united in marriage to Larry Creveling at the Griswold United Methodist Church. After they were married, they both worked for Western Engineering doing road construction. Peggy flagged traffic and drove a pilot car. Peggy worked until Kristie was born and then stayed home with the children until Kristie and Nicole were both in school. Peggy worked at the grocery store for several years before starting to work for A Plus Designs is Griswold. When the store moved to Atlantic, Peggy continued to work for them there.
Peggy loved bowling and bowled in a league on Monday night. She enjoyed doing crosswords, and spoiling her children. On the weekends, Peggy would sometimes travel to see Larry where he was working, and stay with him in their camper.
She is preceded in death by her father Curtis.
Peggy is survived by her husband Larry of Griswold; her daughters Kristie Behrens and husband Kirk of Council Bluffs, and Nicole Creveling and her boyfriend Guy Epperson of Griswold; her mother Ila Mae Ruppert of Griswold; her brother Jim Ruppert and wife Carole of Corning; her dog Killer; her cat Smalls; her grand dog Herky; and her grand cat Thor. She is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be on Saturday, November 30, 2013 at 10:00 AM at the Duhn Funeral Home in Griswold. An open visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday. The family will be present to greet friends from 5:30-7:30 PM Friday evening. Interment will be in St. Johns Cemetery south of Lyman. Duhn Funeral Home in Griswold is in charge of arrangements.
