Patricia Ann Stuhr, the daughter of John and Ann Petersen, was born August 27, 1939 in Omaha, Nebraska. She died March 4, 2016 at the Elmcrest Retirement Community in Harlan, Iowa at the age of 76 years, 6 months, and 6 days.

Patricia attended school in Avoca, graduating from Avoca High School with the class of 1958. On October 18, 1959 she was united in marriage to Eugene Stuhr in Avoca. They lived in Virginia while Gene was in the service and then moved to Oakland after his discharge. Patricia became a Certified Nursing Assistant and worked at Oakland Manor Nursing Home for over fifteen years. She lived in Oakland, until January when she move to Elmcrest Retirement Community.

Patricia loved working in her flower beds, gardening, doing yardwork, camping, cooking and doing crafts. She especially loved spending time with her grandson, Derek.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

Patricia is survived by her husband Gene of Oakland, IA; her son Dave Stuhr and wife Debbie of Council Bluffs, IA; her grandson Derek Stuhr and his wife Brittney of Council Bluffs, IA; her sisters, Linda Feekes and husband Larry of Harlan, IA and Janie Glass and husband Joe of Cedar Rapids, IA; and her brother Tom Petersen and wife Winnie of Santee, CA. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at 2:00 PM at the Rieken Vieth Funeral Home in Oakland. Interment will be in the Oaklawn Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be on Tuesday from 5:30-7:30 PM at the Rieken Vieth Funeral Home in Oakland. Rieken Vieth Funeral Home in Oakland is in charge of arrangements.
