Michael Lee Lovell 77 of Griswold, IA, passed away Thursday January 13th at Jennie Edmundson Hospital.

He is survived by his wife Susan, daughter Gina of Omaha, son Rob of Ft. Myers Fla, grandchildren: Trey, Tanner, & Victoria Lovell, Wyatt and Paige Lantry, great grand children Rayla & Elena Lovell, and many nieces, nephews & cousins.

He was preceded in death by father Gail, mother Grace, sister Marilynn, brother Max, brother Marvin, and son Thomas Michael.

During his life Mike raced stockcars & snow mobiles and had many trophies to show.  He ran a parts store early on in Oakland before starting farming with his dad west of Griswold for many years.  He also started Lovell Construction and was on the board for Waveland Township.  Mike loved helping friends and neighbors anyway he could.  If you didn't know Mike then sure you would and you'd be a life long friend after.  Mike was a great caregiver to his mother and mother-in-law, as well in their aging years.  He enjoyed reminiscing and telling stories about his wild adventures in his life.  He also loved taking his Hot Rods to car shows with his wife Susan and grandson Wyatt.  If anyone knew Mike they knew he would do anything for anyone and lived his life to the fullest!  He enjoyed his wine, great food, many many laughs, and betting on wheel of fortune with his wife Susan.  He will be greatly missed by many!

A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, February 18th, 2022, at East of Omaha in Griswold from 4-7:30pm.  A private family burial will be at a later date this summer.
