Mark Eugene Johnson, 52, of Omaha, NE died Thursday afternoon, July 1, 2010, at the Nebraska Methodist Hospital in Omaha.

Mark was born at Unionville, MO, on August 19, 1957, the son of Billy Hugh and Betty Mae (LaFollette) Johnson. They moved to Griswold and Mark graduated from Griswold High School in 1975. Following graduation, he married Chris Shaver at Red Oak. They lived at Red Oak and Mark was employed at Star Agra until the plant closed. He moved to Omaha and was employed at Lozier Corporation as a painter. He later moved to the Denver, CO, area and managed nightclubs. Mark returned to Omaha about 2 years ago.

Survivors include his son Marcus and Jen Johnson and their children Brayden and Caydence of Red Oak, IA, and his mother Betty Johnson of Griswold.

His father Billy, his sister Joy, and his daughter Chrystal Sue preceded Mark in death.

Cremation has taken place and burial of ashes with graveside services will are set for Friday, July 9, 2010 at 11:00 AM in Oakwood Cemetery at Lewis, Fr. David Smith S.J. officiating. Duhn Funeral Home in Griswold is assisting the family with arrangements.
