Marcia Z. Evans' Obituary
Marcia Z. Evans, the daughter of Roland Leonard and Mary Louise (Wilgus) Zimmerman, was born July 4, 1934 in La Cygne, KS. She died January 6, 2016 in Overland Park, KS at the age of 81 years, 6 months, and 2 days.
Marcia is preceded in death by her husband Raymond Evans in October 2000.
She is survived by her sons: Bill Turner, Ray Evans, and Bruce Evans; her grandchildren: Adam Evans, Hilary (Turner) Schmidt, Emily (Turner) Hussey, and Meredith (Turner) Cabe; her great grandchildren: Caitlin Hussey, Liam Hussey, James Schmidt, and Emery Evans. She is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 15, 2016 at 1:00 PM at the Oakland Christian Church in Oakland. Interment will be in the Belknap Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be on Thursday, January 14, 2016 from 5-7 PM at the Rieken Vieth Funeral Home in Oakland. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer's Association (
www.alz.org
). Rieken Vieth Funeral Home in Oakland is in charge of arrangements.
