Lola Mae Perdue, the daughter of John and Florence (Moore) Christian, was born February 11, 1928 in Villisca, IA. She died February 26, 2016 at the Griswold Care Center in Griswold, IA at the age of 88 years and 15 days.

Lola attended country school in Villisca, IA and Waveland Township, before graduating from Griswold High School in 1945. On July 17, 1947 she was united in marriage to Errol Perdue at the Griswold United Methodist Church. They moved to the family farm in 1950 and lived there until 2010, when they moved in to Griswold.

Lola is preceeded in death by her parents; her in-laws, Robert and Hazel (Collins) Perdue; her brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, Maurice and Roberta Maxwell, Tom Williams, and Norman Hansen; and her grandchildren, Amanda Asche and Matthew Perdue.

She is survived by her husband of 68 years Errol Perdue of Griswold, IA; her daughter Linda Shields and husband David of Sioux Falls, SD; her sons, Richard Perdue and wife Katherine of Columbus, NE and Kenneth Perdue and wife Catherine of Griswold, IA; her grandchildren: Steve Shields and Susan Halvorson and husband Adam of Colorado, Sandra Leighton and husband Matthew and John Perdue Griswold, IA, and Brittany Perdue and Bryan Asche of Columbus, NE; her great grandson Ryder Perdue of Griswold, IA; her sister Myra Hansen of Griswold, IA; her sister-in-law Audrey Williams of Lake City, IA; and her honorary granddaughter Kori Leighton. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
