Linda Marie Johnson, the daughter of Jack D. and Donetta (Ketchum) Allen, was born February 11, 1948 in Council Bluffs, IA. She died March 12, 2016 at the Mercy Hospital in Council Bluffs, IA at the age of 68 years, 1 month and 1 day.
Linda grew up on the family farm north of Carson and graduated from Carson-Macedonia High School with the class of 1966. Linda became a Certified Nursing Assistant and worked in Surgery at Jennie Edmundson Hospital in Council Bluffs. While working at Jennie Edmundson Hospital, Linda had also worked at JACS Steakhouse in Oakland, the Tin Cup in Carson, and the Pizza Place in Carson in her "spare time". Linda retired after over 25 years at the hospital and lived in Carson until recently, when she moved to Oakland.
Linda was a member of the Carson United Methodist Church where she was very active in the Suzanna Circle. She was an excellent cook, and had cooked for many of the athletic teams over the years. She loved to travel, and especially enjoyed spending time at the lake in Okoboji and going to Branson.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
Linda is survived by her children: Denny Johnson and wife Cheri of Ozark, MO, David Johnson of Oakland, IA, and Jacki Albers and her husband Kevin of Lemars, IA; her grandchildren: Justin, Josh, Breann, Chloe, and Karsyn Johnson, and Regan and Seth Albers; her great grandson Jackson; and her brothers, Larry Allen and wife Janel of Carson, IA and Randy Allen and wife Anna Maren of Carson, IA. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at 11:00 AM at the Carson United Methodist Church in Carson. Visitation with the family will be held Tuesday evening from 5-7 PM at the Carson United Methodist Church in Carson. Interment will be in the Carson Cemetery at a later date. Rieken Vieth Funeral Home in Oakland is in charge of arrangements.
