Larry Allen Mundorf, the son of Ogden Sherwood and Ella Malinda (Petersen) Mundorf, was born July 31, 1943, west of Griswold on the family farm in Pottawattamie county, Iowa.  He died September 21, 2018, at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, NE, at the age of 75 years, 1 months, and 21 days.

Larry attended school in Griswold, graduating from Griswold High School with the class of 1962. Larry enlisted in the Air Force and served as a computer technician during the Vietnam War. On February 24, 1968, he was united in marriage to Linda Peterson at Mamrelund Lutheran Church in Stanton, IA. They lived in several different places while Larry was in the Air Force. After being discharged, they moved to Red Oak. In 1980, Larry and Linda moved to Griswold. Larry worked at several different factories until his retirement ten years ago. He lived in Griswold until the time of his death.

Larry was a member of Griswold American Legion Post #508. He loved spending time with his family.

Larry is preceded in death by his parents; his brothers: Edwin, Everett, Calvin and Neil Mundorf; his sisters: Eloise (Mel) Perdue, Hazel Edith Futrell, Shirley Thomas, Dorothy Mae Mundorf, and Lu (Willis) Merritt; his half brothers Clayton and Logan Mundorf; his brother-in-law Glen Kirchhoff; and his sister-in-law Candace Gotschall.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Linda Mundorf of Griswold; his daughter Lori Sue Watson and husband John of Griswold; the light of his life granddaughters, Taylor Palmer and husband Jeremy of Elliott and Lexi Reiley and husband Nick of Massena; his "boys"- great grandsons, Justin Palmer and Fischer and Finnley Reiley; his sister Mary Ann Kirchhoff of Griswold; his sisters-in-law, Fran Mundorf of Oklahoma, Phyllis Mundorf of Griswold, and Denise (Knute) Hallquist of Stanton; and his brother-in-law Curtis Peterson of Stanton.  He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
