Larry D. Keast


Larry D. Keast, age 71, died May 27, 2010 at his home in Osseo, MN.


A long time resident of the Carson-Macedonia area, Larry was born in Macedonia on May 20, 1939 to Oscar and Olive Keast. He graduated from Carson High School in 1957 and then joined the Marines. Larry married Juanita White on March 6, 1965. They raised their three children in the Carson-Macedonia community. Over the years he was employed by Tractor Supply Company, Carson Machinery Auction, and Westinghouse, among others, retiring from Westinghouse in 2003. Larry and Juanita moved to Osseo, MN in 1992.


Larry is survived by this wife Juanita of Osseo, MN; son Brian Keast of Oakland, IA; daughter Laura Martin and husband Kevin of Jewell, IA: daughter Debra Keast of Wyoming, MN; brother Roger Keast and wife Pat of Omaha, NE; sister Barbara MacDiarmid and husband Hugh of San Jose, CA; grandchildren Jared Keast, Shaunna Keast, Patrick and Emma Martin; sister-in-law Midge Summitt of California; sister-in-law Janice Benusic and husband Ken of Alberta, Canada; nieces and nephews; and many other friends and relatives.


Visitation will be held Thursday, June 3rd from 6 – 8 p.m. at the Rieken Vieth Funeral Home in Oakland. Funeral services will be held at the Rieken Vieth Funeral Home on Friday, June 4th at 2 p.m. followed by interment at the Macedonia Cemetery. Rieken Vieth Funeral Home in Oakland is in charge of arrangements.
