Kurt Allan Weaver, the son of Larry and Judy (Killion) Weaver, was born January 14, 1962, in Council Bluffs, IA.  Kurt died August 18, 2023, at the Griswold Care Center in Griswold, IA, at the age of 61 years, 7 months, and 4 days.

Kurt attended school in Oakland, graduating from Oakland High School with the class of 1980.  Kurt worked at Carrick Farm Supply, Warren Construction, as a trucker, and maintenance at Riverside Lanes.  He enjoyed golfing, and was an avid Green Bay Packers, and Husker's fan.  He loved tinkering with model semi-trucks and gardening.  He loved spending time with his family.

Kurt is preceded in death by his father Larry, and his grandparents, Frank and Iva Killion, and Wayne and Kathleen Weaver.

He is survived by his mother Judy Weaver; sister Sherrie Martens and husband Jeff; brother Craig Weaver and wife Leslie; nieces and nephews: Ashley and Tyler Peters, Shelbie Harris (Tom Sokolik), Sarah Weaver, Payton Weaver, Hilary Hardison, Heili Martens, and Hayley and Brian Bruegman; great nieces and great nephews: Iva and Everly Peters, Kiya, Kaelyr, Karsyn, Kyzer, and Kynzlee Morrissey, and Emery and Easton Bruegman.  He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.

A remembrance gathering will be held on Saturday, August 26, 2023, from 2-4 PM at the Oakland Community Building.  In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established in Kurt's name.  Rieken Vieth Funeral Home in Oakland is assisting the family with arrangements.
