Obituary

Judy Clarice Bentley, the daughter of Leslie and Corabell (Bryant) Haven, was born June 11, 1945 in Council Bluffs, IA and died August 22, 2015 in Council Bluffs, IA at the age of 70 years, 2 months, and 11 days.


Judy attended school in Council Bluffs and graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School. On August 10, 1981 she was united in marriage to Kendall Bentley in Omaha, NE. In Judy's career, she worked as a legal secretary, worked payroll where she was affectionately known as The Payroll Queen, and was a farm wife.


Judy enjoyed making memory books, cooking, entertaining, and decorating the house. She had been a member of the Oakland Saddle Club. Judy especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was deeply loved and will be greatly missed.


Judy is preceded in death by her parents.


Preceded in death by her parents, Leslie and Corabelle Haven; and her sister Shirley Wissler.

Survived by husband Kendall; her sons, Treg and Keven Currie; her grandchildren Kelly Holdaway, Gage and Tristan Boles, and Alexa and Lindsey Currie; her great-grandchild Treydon Watson; her brother Dale; and many other friends and family.

A celebration of life memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2015 from 11:00 AM until 12:30 PM at the Oakland United Methodist Church. Lunch with the family will follow immediately after the visitation. Rieken Vieth Funeral Home in Oakland is in charge of arrangements.
