Obituary

Joseph Duane Tye, the son of Timothy Dean and Rhonda Sue (Rowe) Tye, was born September 25, 1985 in Atlantic, IA. He died August 15, 2016 at his home in Griswold, IA, at the age of 30 years, 10 months, and 20 days.

Joe is preceded in death by his parents; his sister Veronica; and his grandparents, Sandy Thorton and Elgie and Thelma Tye.

He is survived by his wife Jessica Tye of Griswold; step son Hunter Nelson; unborn baby girl; brother Jason Tye and wife Krissy of Griswold; sister Jessica Shroyer and husband Charles of Atlantic, IA; mother-in-law DeeDee Springer of Griswold, IA; sister-in-law Katie Springer and friend Anthony Flug of Marne, IA; and his brother-in-law Chris Halverson (Jennifer) of Malcom, IA. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 20, 2016 at 10:00 AM, at the Griswold United Methodist Church.  Visitation with the family will be on Friday, August 19, 2016, from 5-7 PM at the Griswold United Methodist Church.  Duhn Funeral Home in Griswold is in charge of arrangements.
