Jean E. Jennings of Griswold, IA passed away January, 5, 2014 at the Cass County Memorial Hospital in Atlantic, IA.
Jean was born February 19, 1924 in Kewanee, IL, the daughter of Joe and Alice (Hester) Orr. She was a 1942 graduate of Wethersfield, IL. She worked in Kewanee until she married John Jennings in Grand Marris, MN on July 20, 1949. They returned to Kewanee until moving to Janesville, WI and then to Griswold, IA. She helped John with his business and also worked at Griswold State Bank for many years.
Jean loved people and did years and years of volunteer work. She was an avid bridge player.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her sister Gladys; and her brother Max.
She is survived by her husband John of Griswold; her son Jerry of Redondo Beach, CA; her sister Lois Fisher of Kewanee, IL, and her brother Warren Orr of California.
There will be no funeral or visitation according to Jean's wishes. Memorials may be sent to the Griswold United Methodist Church.
