Obituary

Jason Woodly Anthony Grayson, the son of Robin Grayson and Marla Ann Watson, was born March 9, 1974 in San Pedro, CA. He died, August 21, 2016 at the age of 42 years, 5 months, and 12 days.


Jason graduated from Banning High School in Wilmington, CA. He attended college at Johnson C. Smith University in Charlotte, North Carolina, before returning to California. Jason worked and lived in California for eight years before moving to Elliott, IA. He was united in marriage to Jacqueline Potter at the Elliott Church of Christ. He worked at Arlington Place before taking a job with American Hydraulics. He also worked as a part time cook at the Coe Creek Café in Elliott.


Jason enjoyed fishing, motorcycle riding, and sports; especially Notre Dame Football and the San Francisco 49ers. He loved to barbeque, and was even known to barbeque when it was in the middle of winter. He was on the Elliott Library Board. Jason loved spending time with his family and friends.


He is survived by his wife Jacki Grayson of Elliott, IA; his children: Brianna Andrea Jasmine Grayson, Robin Jeannette Maria Grayson, Tyler Grayson; step daughter Savanna Marie Becker; step son Andrew Landeros; his mother Marla Ann Watson; his mother-in-law Anne Hudson; father-in-law Kenneth Potter and wife Merry; his grandparents Jeanette and Woodly Watson; his granddaughter Chloie Audrina Martinez; and his brothers, Nathan Collins and Gabriel Collins.
