Jack Thomas Gregory, the son of Charles and Virginia (Neal) Gregory, was born March 31, 1942, in North Hollywood, California.  Jack passed away June 30, 2022, at the Jennie Edmundson Hospital in Council Bluffs, Iowa, at the age of 80 years, 2 months, and 30 days.

Jack attended elementary school in California before moving to Nebraska with his grandparents.  He then moved to Villisca, IA and then Elliott, IA, where he graduated from Elliott High School with the class of 1960.  On June 11, 1961, he was united in marriage to Anieta Kimpson, at the Elliott United Methodist Church.  They lived in Omaha and then Council Bluffs, before moving to Griswold in 1966.  In 1972, Jack and his family moved to Aurora, CO.  Jack owned and operated J.G. Erection, Aurora Asphalt, and then A.D. Gregory Trucking.  Jack and Anieta moved back to Griswold in 2000.

Jack enjoyed volunteering for the Griswold Museum.  He loved playing pool, and bowling.  He was a big animal lover and enjoyed feeding the birds and squirrels.  He liked fixing and restoring antiques and had restored many trunks and other antiques.

Jack is preceded in death by his daughter Debra Ann; his parents Charles and Virginia Gregrory; his grandparents Sid and Irma Rawlings; his parents-in-law Wayne and Alberta Kimpson; his brothers-in-law Russell and Raymond; and his sisters-in-law Dorothy and Virginia.

He is survived by his wife Anieta Gregory of Griswold, IA; his daughters, Diana Gregory of Griswold, IA, and Danita Gregory and husband Jason Nicholson of Harris Park, CO, his brother Charles Morris Gregory; his brothers-in-law, Stanley Kimpson and wife Beth and Steven Kimpson and wife Stephanie; his sisters-in-law, Delores Vadill and Roberta Shellberg; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

A funeral service for Jack will be held on Wednesday, July 6, 2022, at 11:00 AM, at the Griswold United Methodist Church.  Visitation with the family will take place one hour prior to the funeral at the church.  Interment will take place at a later date at Fairmount Cemetery in Colorado.  Rieken Duhn Funeral Home in Griswold is assisting the family.
