Edward Elmer Osborn, born on February 14, 1939, in Carson, IA, passed away on December 4, 2024, at the Oakland Manor Nursing Home in Oakland, IA, at the age of 85. He was the beloved son of Elmer Clifford and Mussette Violett (Morris) Osborn.

Edward was raised on the family farm and attended school in Carson, IA. He worked for Macedonia Implement and later moved to Boise, ID, and Sacramento, CA, before returning to Iowa in 1980. He married Mary Nuzum on August 12, 1967, in Treynor, IA. Edward retired from the City of Oakland but continued to help on the farm. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Avoca, IA, and enjoyed woodworking, watching movies, and fishing. He had a deep love for his nieces and nephews.

Edward is preceded in death by his parents and his brother Loren.

He is survived by his wife Mary of Oakland, IA; his sisters, Virginia Westphal and Mary Jane McAvoy; and his nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

A memorial service will be held at a later date, with Rieken Vieth Funeral Home in Oakland assisting the family with arrangements.
