Daisy Anna Dreyer


Daisy Anna Dreyer, the daughter of Willard and Nellie (Rains) League, was born December 30, 1942 at Max, NE and died April 27, 2011 at Omaha, NE at the age of 68 years, 3 months, and 28 days.


On May 21, 1962 Daisy was united in marriage to Donald Dreyer in Fremont, NE. They had a son Gary Lynn and a daughter Vicki, who passed away at one month.


Throughout the years, Daisy worked at the Oakland Manor Nursing Home, was a manager of the Oakland Bowling Alley, a motel, and a convenience store. But the job she loved most of was being a housewife, mother, and grandmother.


During her free time, Daisy loved doing crafts, playing cards, Bingo, and Keno, scrapbooking, quilting, camping, sitting by a bonfire, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.


She was preceded in death by her parents Willard Sr. and Nellie League; her daughter Vicky; and her brothers Leonard and Willard, Jr.


She is survived by her husband Don of Fremont, NE; her son Gary Dreyer and wife Rojean of Oakland; her grandchildren: Courtney and Ashton; her brothers Don League of Fremont, NE and Charles League and wife Gloria of Fremont, NE; and her sister Jean Teneyck and husband Delbert of Valley, NE. She is also survived by many other relatives and friends.


Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 30, 2011 at 1:00 PM at the Oakland Christian Church. Rev. Earlin Shanno Officiating. Interment will be at Oaklawn Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held at the Oakland Christian Church on Friday from 5:30-7:30 PM. Rieken Vieth Funeral Home in Oakland is in charge of arrangements.
