Craig Robert Olson, the son of Sidney Craig "Pete" and Diane Ellen (Campbell) Olson, was born August 30, 1978, in Atlantic, IA.  He died at his home in Griswold, IA, on June 14, 2020, at the age of 41 years, 9 months, and 15 days.

Craig attended school at Griswold, graduating from Griswold High School with the class of 1997.  After graduating, he worked at several different jobs before moving to Utah in 2004.  While in Utah, he worked as a finish carpenter with his older brother Peter Jon.  After returning to Griswold, Craig attended Iowa Western Community College.  He received his Associates Degree in Design Technology.  Most recently, Craig was employed at Bluffs Paving and Utility Company.

Craig loved spending time with his children.  He enjoyed playing and listening to music, and watching football, especially the Denver Broncos and the Oklahoma Sooners.

Craig grew up attending and was baptized at the Griswold United Methodist Church and although he struggled at times, he believed in Jesus, and is now in heaven.

Craig is preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert and Maxine Olson, Norma Campbell, and Robert Campbell; his uncle Michael Olson; and his aunts, Darla Rudolph and Sharon Campbell.

He is survived by his children: Tristan, Samuel, Ellen, and Lucas; his parents Sidney "Pete" and Diane Olson of Griswold, IA; his brothers, Peter Jon Olson and wife Pamela of Park City, UT, and Scot Olson and wife Bertrana of Atlantic, IA; his nephew Jacob Olson and wife Heather of Griswold, IA; his niece Miranda Pottebaum  and husband Cory of Atlantic, IA; and three great nieces: Kimber, Alinity, and Aria.  Craig is also survived by many other close family and friends.

A memorial visitation will be held at the Rieken Duhn Funeral Home in Griswold on Saturday, June 20, 2020, from 10:00 AM until Noon.  Because of Covid-19, social distancing will be encouraged.  A private family interment will be held at Griswold Cemetery at a later date.  Rieken Duhn Funeral Home in Griswold is in charge of arrangements.
