Cheryl Faye Wotton, the daughter of Harold Max and Faye Loren (Chase) Smith, was born August 28, 1950 in Council Bluffs, IA and died Janaury 25, 2015 at her home in Council Bluffs, IA at the age of 64 years, 4 months, and 28 days.

Cheryl was united in marriage to Harold Freeman Wotton at Rumfrord, Maine. They lived in several different places before moving to Colorado. While in Colorado, Cheryl worked for A Herman Roofing for 28 years. Cheryl and Harold to Iowa fourteen years ago. Harold died in 2005. Cheryl continued to maintain her own home until the time of her death.

Cheryl was a big football fan, and enjoyed cheering for the Denver Bronco's and the Dallas Cowboys.

She is survived by her son Harold Wotton and wife Fayth of Council Bluffs; her grandchildren: Fayth, Calin, and Brody; her sister Terrie Gardner and husband Brian of Council Bluffs, IA; her brother Randy Kahl of Council Bluffs, IA; and her step mother Lois Smith of Council Bluffs, IA. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at 11:30 AM at the Rieken Vieth Funeral Home in Oakland. Visitation with the family will be held starting at 10:00 AM on Wednesday. Interment will be at the Belknap Cemetery. Rieken Vieth Funeral Home in Oakland is in charge of arrangements.
