Bruce Kelly Evans, son of Jack Evans and Darlene June (Arndt) Hafner, was born on February 9, 1955 in Cincinnati, Ohio.  He passed away at his home in Griswold, Iowa on July 20, 2019, at the age of 64 years, 5 months and 11 days.

Bruce enjoyed fishing, trapping and gambling.  He also liked to tell long stories and give the best advice he could. He had big heart and loved spending time with his family and his friends.

Bruce is Preceded in death by his father, Jack Evans; his maternal and paternal grandparents; his step father, Lloyd Hafner; his step brother, David Allan Hafner; his two nephews:  Matthew Michael DeWitt and Jacob Russell Evans.

Bruce is survived by his mother, Darlene Hafner of Griswold; his children: Christopher Dean Sharp (Jeremy) and wife Amanda of Griswold, Chad Allen Sharp (Joe) of Omaha and Brittany Nichole Jordan (Jill) and partner Chris Bomer of Atlantic; his three grandsons: Jeremy Dean Sharp of Griswold, Tylor Allen Sharp of DesMoines, Taye Douglas Jordan of Atlantic; his four granddaughters:  Destiny and Aliyah Jordan of Atlantic, Jayda Sharp of Griswold and Izabella (Izzy) Bomer of Atlantic.   He is also survived by his wife, Michelle Evans of Algona and her children Courtney and Dude; his brother, Jack Evans Jr. of Griswold; his half-brother, Curtis Evans of Cincinnati; his  sister, Rhonda Michelle (Evans) Hafner and her husband Edward Hafner of Griswold; also step sisters Linda Griswold of California, Teresa (Johnson) Hafner of Council Bluffs and many nieces and nephews. Bruce will be truly missed.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, July 30, 2019 at the Griswold Cemetery at 1:00 PM. A visitation with the family will be before the graveside service at Rieken Duhn Funeral Home from 11:00 AM until the time of the service.  Rieken Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
