Boydena "Dena" Marie Keller, the daughter of Boyd Martin and Priscilla Maxine (Thompson) Elliott, was born July 7, 1945, in Council Bluffs, IA. She died September 2, 2024, at the Shenandoah Medical Center in Shenandoah, IA, at the age of 79 years, 1 month, and 26 days.

Dena moved to the Carson area at a young age.  She graduated from Carson-Macedonia High School with the class of 1963. She lived in Oakland, where she worked in several different places.  She moved to Essex a year ago to be closer to her sisters.

Dena enjoyed playing cards, reading, and spending time with her family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents; brother Paul; sisters-in-law, Kathy Elliott and Ann Elliott; and brother-in-law Ron Rehfeldt.

She is survived by her children Lisa Ehrhardt and husband Brent of Pella, IA, and Shane Palmer and wife Stacy of Ames, IA;  five grandchildren; four great grandchildren; her siblings:  Ron Elliott and wife Janice of Neola, IA, John Elliott of Council Bluffs, IA, Willideen Rehfeldt of Essex, IA, Patricia Glasgo and husband Bill of Essex, IA, and many other relatives and friends.

A celebration of life memorial service will be held on Monday, September 16, 2024, at 11:00 AM, at the Oakland United Methodist Church. Visitation with the family will take place one hour prior to the service.  Interment will be in the Carson Cemetery.  Memorials are suggested to the family.  Rieken Vieth Funeral Home in Oakland is assisting the family.
