Obituary

Boyd Eugene Lewis, the son of Ray and Ethel Mae (Mundorf) Lewis, was born June 29, 1955 in Red Oak, IA and died January 18, 2015 at the Salem Lutheran Home in Elk Horn, IA, at the age of 59 years, 6 months, and 19 days.
Boyd graduated from Griswold High School with the class of 1973. He worked for the railroad for a short time before enlisting in the Army. After he was honorably discharged, he returned to the Griswold area. He received a degree in welding from Iowa Western Community College in 1985. Boyd worked construction and then had several other jobs after his retirement. Boyd lived in Griswold until recently when he moved to the Salem Lutheran Home.
Boyd enjoyed fishing, NASCAR, dancing, and shooting guns, wood carving, and drinking.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his sister Audrey Cundiff; and his step father Everett Mundorf.
He is survived by his children: Jennifer Deist, Jesse Archibald, Elisha Gramkow, and Emily Ratzlaff. He is also survived by his grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
A memorial visitation will be held Friday, January 23, from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at the Duhn Funeral Home in Griswold.
