BEVERLY WEBB
Beverly A. Webb, the daughter of Arch and Lela Hackel, was born March 30, 1931 at Rock Port, MO and died October 18, 2012 at University of Nebraska Medical Center at Omaha, NE at the age of 81 years, 6 months, and 18 days.
Beverly attended school at Rockport and graduated from Rockport High School with the class of 1949. On July 1, 1950 she was united in marriage to Romley Webb. They lived in Pickstown, SD, South Sioux City, NE, Sioux City, IA, and Boone, IA before moving to Oakland in April of 1962. She worked at the Oakland Community School for 27 years as Title I Secretary, Superintendent Secretary, and District Secretary before retiring in 1993.
Beverly was a member of the Oakland Christian Church, where she had served as a Sunday school teacher, youth sponsor, and member of the Christian Women's Fellowship. She enjoyed playing bridge and belonged to several different bridge clubs.
She is preceded in death by her daughter Linda; her husband Romley; her mother and father; and Sister Gloria and her husband Harry Gebhards; and her sister-in-law Violet Mason
Survivors include her son Mike; granddaughter Shara; grandson Ryan; brother-in-law Lynn Mason; and her nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at 10:30 AM at the Oakland Christian Church in Oakland. Visitation with the family will be held on Monday evening form 5:30-7:30 PM at the Oakland Christian Church. Interment will be at the Oaklawn Cemetery. A memorial fund has been established. Rieken Vieth Funeral Home in Oakland is in charge of arrangements.
