Beverly Sue Walker, the daughter of Clifford Albert and Mary Kathleen (Sawyer) Embree, was born May 4, 1933, near Villisca, IA.  She died June 12, 2023, at the Good Samaritan Society in Villisca, IA, at the age of 90 years, 1 month, and 8 days.

Beverly attended country school until the eighth grade.  She then attended Villisca High School, graduating with the class of 1951.  On November 25, 1951, she was united in marriage to Michel "Mick" Weston.  Five children were born to this union.  In 1973, Beverly became the Officer in Charge at the Grant Post Office.  She eventually became Postmaster and served in that position until the time of her retirement in 2000.

Beverly was a member of the Grant United Methodist Church.  She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She enjoyed playing cards, especially Pinochle and Solitaire, board games, reading, dancing, and traveling.

Beverly is preceded in death by her parents; her sons, Richard Lee Weston and Miles Eugene Weston; her granddaughter Pamela Wells; her brothers, Carol and wife Mary Ellen, and Marvin and wife Peggy; her daughter-in-law Brenda Kay Weston; and her son-in-law Jim Gaines.

She is survived by her daughters, Michele "Shelly" Stevens and husband John of Villisca, IA, and Diane Damon and husband Scott of Cumberland, IA; her son Jeffrey Weston of Villisca, IA; 18 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and 2 great great-grandchildren.  She is also survived by many other relatives and friends.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 17, 2023, at 1:30 PM, at the Grant Cemetery.  Visitation with the family will be held on Friday, June 16, 2023, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM, at the Rieken Duhn Funeral Home in Griswold.  Rieken Duhn Funeral Home in Griswold is assisting the family with arrangements.
