BEVERLY JEAN JONES


Beverly Jean Jones, the daughter of Lawrence Roland and Ester Louise (Berg) Hansen, was born November 27, 1936 at Council Bluffs, IA and died December 22, 2011 at the Jennie Edmundson Hospital in Council Bluffs, IA at the age of 75 years and 25 days.


Beverly attended school at Council Bluffs. She moved to Oregon for a short while before returning to Council Bluffs. On September 21, 1953 she was united in marriage to Phillip Dean Jones at Council Bluffs. They made their home in Council Bluffs before moving to Mobile, AL. In 1997, they moved to Oakland. Beverly continued to live in Oakland until the time of her death.


Beverly enjoyed reading, going to yard sales, and collecting rhinestone jewelry.


Beverly is preceded in death by her husband; her parents; and two sons, Mike and David.


She is survived by her daughter Jennifer Adina Reynolds and friend Gary Feigenbutz of Oakland, IA; her son Phillip Dean Jones of Tulsa, OK; her grandchildren: Elizabeth, Adam, Bobby, Danielle, Michelle, and Kathy; her sister Pat Gardner and husband Jim of Council Bluffs; and her brother Gerald Hansen and wife Ellen of Council Bluffs. She is also survived by many other relatives and friends.


Cremation has taken place and there will be no services held at this time. Rieken Vieth Funeral Home in Oakland is in charge of arrangements.
