Bette L. Lantz, 54, of Albuquerque, NM, died Friday, August 15, 2008 in Albuquerque where she had lived for the last 35 years.

Bette was born at Creston, IA, on November 10, 1953, the daughter of Myron John and Rubye L. (McCarson) Lantz who lived in Elliott, IA at that time. She moved with her family to the southwest. She also had lived in Phoenix, AZ and Flagstaff, AZ. She was a longtime employee of the food services industry.

Bette will be remembered for her love of shopping, collecting celebrity memorabilia, and being an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys. Above all, she enjoyed the large family gatherings held, especially during the holidays.

Survivors include her mother Rubye Lantz of Albuquerque; her 5 brothers and sisters, Richard Lantz (Chelisa) of Chandler, AZ, M. Sue Tucker (Jack) of Prescott, AZ, Thomas Lantz (Sharon) of Littleton, CO, Barbara Stowe (Gary) of Feeding Hills, MA, and Dale Lantz (Lisa) of Dallas, TX. She is also survived by two aunts, Rosie Dahlin of Torrance, CA and Billie McCarson of Ardmore, OK as well as a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Her father Myron preceded her in death in 1987.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, October 24, 2008 at 10:30 AM at the Hillside Cemetery in Elliott. Duhn Funeral Home in Griswold is assisting the family with the local arrangements.
