Austin Michael Oldenkamp, the son of Chad R. and Stephanie Anne (Robertson) Oldenkamp, was born October 29, 1995 in Sioux City, IA and died March 29, 2014 East of Griswold, IA, at the age of 18 years and 5 months.

Austin attended school in Sioux City until 2003, when he moved to Griswold. He went to Lewis Elementary and then Griswold High School. He had played baseball and participated in wrestling. Austin had worked at Hy-Vee for the last year. He was scheduled to graduate this May with the class of 2014.

Austin Loved playing video games, driving his car, and being with his friends. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family. He had a passion for the Organ Donor Network.

He is preceded in death by his great grandparents: Glenn Musselman, James Oldenkamp, Agnes Robertson, Jerome Burbach, SR., and Gladys Burbach.

He is survived by his father Chad Oldenkamp and wife Cheryl of Sioux City, IA; his mother Stephanie Willms and husband Dan of Griswold, IA; his brothers Daniel and Jacob Oldenkamp of Sioux City, IA; his grandparents: Rick and Wendy Oldenkamp of Sioux City, IA, Steve and Patricia Mahnke of South Sioux City, NE, Ramona Robertson of Sioux City, IA, Richard and April Robertson of West Virginia, and Richard and Mary Willms of Griswold, IA; his great grandparents: Darlene Oldenkamp, Mary Musselman, Betty Mahnke, and Everett Robertson. Austin is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

A rosary will be held at 4:00 PM on Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at the Griswold Community Building. The rosary will be followed by visitation with the family until 8:00 PM. A mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, April 4, 2014 at 11:00 AM at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Sioux City, IA. Interment will be at the Memorial Park Cemetery in Sioux City. Memorials may be given to the Iowa Donor Network in Austin's name. Duhn Funeral Home in Griswold is in charge of the local arrangements.
