Anne Marie Tomlinson, the daughter of King and Hazel (Lowers) Tomlinson, was born November 26, 1938 in Atlantic, IA and died June 23, 2010 at the Cass County Memorial Hospital on Atlantic, IA at the age of 71 years.
Anne lived in Atlantic for a before moving to New York at a young age. Anne returned to Iowa, living in Lewis before moving to Oakland, CA where she attended grade school. She returned to Lewis, where she attended Lewis High School, graduating with the class of 1956. After high school, Anne worked for Spurgeons, and then the Graham's Department Store for over 20 years. She had several other jobs before retiring from Easter's grocery store. Anne lived in Lewis, and maintained her own home until the time of her death.
Anne was a member of the Congregational-Methodist Church in Lewis and was a past worthy matron of the Order of Eastern Star. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, sewing, and painting ceramics.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
Anne is survived by her brother Kai Tomlinson and wife Barbara of Lewis; her nephew Patrick Kelly and wife Kristin and their children Sidney and Jonathon; and her nieces, Charlotte Cristo and husband Steven, SR. and their children Tyler O'Hara, Samantha and Steven, JR., and Megan Kelly and her children Clayton Kelly and Molly Dineen. Other relatives and friends also survive Anne.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 16, 2010 at 2:00 PM at the Duhn Funeral Home in Griswold. Visitation with the family will start at 12:30 PM the day of the service. Interment will be held at the Oakwood Cemetery at Lewis. Duhn Funeral Home in Griswold is in charge of arrangements.
